    • Learning Enrichment Center Director to begin in August 2025

      The Learning Enrichment Center at The Palmas Academy is a unique program for

      neurodivergent learners situated within the campus of our independent PK-12 college preparatory school.


      This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a visionary educator with experience working with neurodiverse students, who has an entrepreneurial spirit and the motivation to elevate the program to the next level.


      Minimum Requirements:

      • Master’s degree or advanced degree in special education, neuroscience, or other related field. Doctorate degree preferred.
      • Three (3) years of experience in a leadership role working with a population of neurodiverse students.
      • Three (3) years as a teacher in a population of neurodiverse students.
      • Must be fully bilingual (English and Spanish), written and spoken.
      • Knowledgeable in the design and implementation of special accommodations for students.
      • Able to lead workshops and professional development sessions for faculty members and other stakeholders on best practices to support neurodiverse learners.
      • Ability to write proposals and seek services with the PR Department of Education Special Education Program.
      • Dynamic educator eager to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.

      Duties and responsibilities - include but not limited to:

      • Coordinate and lead staff in providing all services for students enrolled at the Learning Enrichment Center, while keeping accurate records of enrollment and cost of services for each student.
      • Meet with teachers, administrators, psychologist and parents to discuss learning plans.
      • Write proposals and coordinate services for TPA students eligible for receiving services from the Department of Education Special Education Program.
      • Work with school psychologist to determine needs of LEC students.
      • Coordinate and hold meetings with parents and school administrators to evaluate educational plans.
      • Participate in meetings with the admissions staff and school psychologist to evaluate admission of students with learning disabilities.
      • Participate and represent TPA in IEP meetings at the District and Central Level of the Department of Education offices.
      • Supervise the LEC teaching staff.
      • Lead workshops and professional development for other educators on strategies and best practices for neurodiverse learners.

    • Finance Specialist - Immediate Opening

      This position is responsible for the financial and accounting operations of the school. Will manage financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provides strategic financial guidance to support business decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to communicate important information and being very organized in prioritizing work.


      Duties - include but not limited to:

      • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
      • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
      • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
      • Lead in the budgeting process by providing financial insights and analysis.
      • Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and
      • governmental regulations, working with external auditors.
      • Collaborate with team members on fundraising projects as needed.
      • Produce monthly financial statements to be presented to the leadership team and board of trustees.
      • Utilize accounting software for efficient data management and reporting.
      • Maintain accurate and readily available records.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
      • CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
      • Experience in finance or accounting role, preferably in a private school setting.
      • Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices.
      • Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
      • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Spreadsheets) and other financial software systems.
      • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills.
      • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish) - must be able to read, write and speak both languages.
