A Meaningful Education for an Ever-Evolving World

At TPA, we believe that learning should be meaningful, personal, and lasting. Our students dive into hands-on, engaging lessons that challenge them to think for themselves, explore new ideas, and grow with purpose. Classes are taught in English across all grades, with Spanish instruction—either as a second language or a primary one—woven in to support fluency and cultural connection. Our teachers care deeply about their students and work hard to bring out the best in each one. It’s an approach that prepares students not just for college, but for a life of confidence, curiosity, and impact.

Our Unique, Inquiry Based Approach

Learning at The Palmas Academy is designed to be purposeful and inspiring. That’s why our teachers use a shared unit planning approach—our Palmas Inquiry Unit Planner—to design experiences that build deep understanding and real-world relevance. Every unit begins with clear goals and is built to help students think critically, explore creatively, and grow with purpose.

The planner is organized into stages, with the most important being Stage 1: Desired Results. To foster transparency and partnership, all classes and departments (except AP courses and Pre-School) will share Stage 1 of their planner in Google Classroom so parents and students can see what their child is working on. To make this even easier, we’ve prepared a guide that explains how to read the Unit Planner together with your child.
